Kurds call it Rojava, or the West, the place where the sun sets on Kurdish lands: the north of Syria, the stage of the most violent war of our times, painted in blood by the mass-rape and mass-killings of the ISIS terrorist organization. It is here, in Rojava, in three destroyed cities, that three separate stories tell the story of how savage war destroys not only our cities, but our people, too. Sinjar, Kobanî and Jazaa are three towns that display the most destructive impact of modern war. All three are in the process of being rebuilt at the moment. The people who live here have transformed
their tragedies into a determination to leave a better Rojava for future generations.
The filmmakers have sought to explore the parallels between fiction and life by including stories told in the sincere words of those who actually experienced them.
This is also the first feature film shot, in their own language, by the Rojava Film Commune, established after the revolution by a group of artists from Rojava.

“Jeena isi Ka Naam Hai” is a motivational, inspirational and a very positive film. The story spans the journey of an Author from her childhood till she aged. Starting from a modest family to a world of successful people, the girl sees many phases and relationships around. Every phase in her life is full of challenges but she draws strength from each phase and keeps on moving forward without begrudges or remorse.
This story is of evolution and realization of our inherent power. Alia the protagonist is not a crying victim or crusader of woman liberation. There is both a hell and heaven in all of us. It’s entirely up to us what we nurture. Alia finds her way through love and not hatred. She fights with compassion not with revenge. To fight evil, she develops her own angel and she makes a leaving impact on her life as well as others. She strongly relate to this expression, as she believes everyone has inherent courage to be happy irrespective of surroundings. That happiness comes from inner strength and hope. Happiness does not come in a platter but we have to create it.

What is happening with our youth? How can it be that outwardly normal young people suddenly take to dangerous cultural practices, pseudo-religious and ultra-radical ideas that drive them to terrorism, suicide and mass murder? Is the transition really so invisible? Can it be true that a physically and mentally healthy human will, out of the blue and of free will, volunteer to take his or her own life along with the lives of tens and hundreds innocent bystanders? The formation of such a goal requires time, a long time. And what of the ones closest to the individual - friends, family, colleagues, the society at large? Did none see the difference in his or her behavior? There must have been signs of change, alienation, a distance building up. Is our indifference to each other not to blame? The creators of the film offer to think about these questions in an attempt to attract the attention of the masses to the problem. It's a story about a college girl who falls in love with a young man who leads her into a religious cult of kamikaze terrorists.

Lin Bo'en is an old preacher who has believed in the Lord for many decades. Since accepting Almighty God, Christ of the last days, he was convicted, excluded, and expelled from the religious community by the pastors and elders, the antichrist forces. But even though Lin Bo'en was attacked, convicted, and framed, he did not shrink back in fear. Rather, his faith became more resolute than ever, and this led him to finally understand that the pastors and elders of the religious world were faking a virtuous appearance. At the same time, he came to know that only Christ is the truth, the way, and the life, and only Christ can save and purify and perfect man. Because of this, he was resolved to follow Christ, bear witness for Christ, and do his utmost to pursue the truth, to seek to transform his disposition so that he could become a true witness for God. Once the Chinese Communist Party discovered that Lin Bo'en was released from prison and had not changed, that he had not renounced his faith in the slightest bit and even believed in the Eastern Lightning, that he went everywhere to testify that the Lord Jesus has come again and that He is Almighty God, the CCP listed him as wanted and went everywhere to arrest him. Lin Bo'en was forced to leave his family, and in each place he testified to Almighty God's work in the last days, he was able to lead a lot of sincere, good-natured believers to God's side. This video gives an account of Lin Bo'en's true story of spreading the gospel and testifying for God.

Necropolis Berlin 1945

What'Director  JUNKER SUSANNE
Germany
Runtime 16 min
Completion Date:  March 2017

The period from 16 April until 2 May 2017 will mark the 72nd anniversary of the Battle of Berlin. After the end of the Second World War, instigated by Nazi Germany and causing the deaths of 85 million people, Berlin lay in ruins. Today, Aleppo is just such a ghost city. War lies not just in the past, but is very much a part of our present. In Berlin there are about 220 burial sites, individual and mass graves, in which the victims of war and tyranny lie – many of them children, civilians, forced labourers, concentration camp victims, resistance fighters, victims of so-called “euthanasia programmes”, soldiers from far-flung nations and the unknown dead. Neukölln in its cultural, religious and social diversity embraces all the attributes of the Berlin metropolis. In 16 Neukölln cemeteries, for example, in Columbiadamm, Herrmannstr., Buschkrugallee and Lilienthalstrasse, there are around 16,000 individual war graves and mass graves covering an area of 1,600 m2 – an urban stratum right at the heart of everyday life. This stratum resembles an antique necropolis – though above ground. These burial places are accessible to the public, but only a very few are aware of them. Most victims remain there, almost invisible, regardless of origin, age, role or fate. “26 years of age. The person who lies here was only as old as I am now. Many who are buried here did not even reach that age” 60 Master’s students from the architecture faculty of the Beuth University at Berlin have spent two years photographing cemeteries in Neukölln. Using a legendary Leica M Monochrome 246, provided by the firm Leica itself, exclusively monochromatic – classic black and white - photographs were produced. They display light and shadow, stillness and emptiness, time and times past. This “painting with light”, carried out in the studio using digital collages and personal portraits on the subject of death and war, is presented as a memento mori – from Homer and the Trojan War, through Leo Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” and the Napoleonic Wars, to the Turkish national anthem, to today’s wars and conflicts, which most of us experience only indirectly through the media and the internet. The tragic parallels between the “Napalm Girl” from Vietnam and the little boy rescued from the ruins of Aleppo who sat bewildered in an ambulance, are visually brought to mind. „We show, we mirror, we remember“ Two of these photographs received „honourable mentions“ in the category „Professional Portraits“ in the prestigious “Monochrome Awards - International Black & White Photography Contest” held in the USA. The "Triptych" was originally presented at the war cemetery Columbiadamm Chapel and screened to a projection surface of 12 x 3 meters.s this item about? What makes it interesting?
